Today in Masonic history Oliver Hardy half of the famous comedy team of Laurel and Hardy passed away.
At a young age Hardy's mother wanted him to go to college to study law. There is no evidence this happened. Instead Hardy started his career in the movie industry in 1910 when a movie theater opened in his home town. Hardy beame a projectionist, ticket taker and manager.
Hardy was raised in Solomon Lodge No. 20 in Jacksonville Florida. He was raised sometime before 1954 since his membership was mentioned on the television show "This is Your Life" in 1954.
