Today in Masonic history Winston Chruchill spoke one of his famous quotes when emerging from the Battle of Britain Bunker.
When Chruchill emerged from the Number 11 Group's undground bunker at RAF Uxbridge, now titled the Battle of Britain Bunker, he uttered his now famous quote "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few". The quote was in reference to the job done by the RAF pilots during the battle. This led to the RAF being nicknamed The Few.
Churchill was a member of Studholme Lodge #1591.
