Today in Masonic History Bronson Alcott Pinchot is born in 1959.
Bronson Alcott Pinchot is an American actor.
Pinchot was born in Manhattan. He was raised in Southern California and attended South Pasadena High School where he graduated at the top of his class. He earned a full scholarship to Yale University and was placed at Morse College one of 12 residential colleges at Yale. He would graduate magna cum laude. It was at Yale while he was studying fine arts that Pinchot was discovered by a casting director for the film Risky Business in 1983.
Pinchot would go on to have roles in many major motion pictures including Beverly Hills Cop, True Romance and The First Wives Club. He is probably best know for his role in the ABC comedy series Perfect Strangers. In the show Pinchot played Balki Bartokomous from the fictional Greek island of Mypos. The show would run from 1986 to 1993.
In 1999, Pinchot would spend a great deal of time in Harford, Pennsylvania restoring a circa1839 mansion that belonged to Senator Edward Jones. He would also purchase 6 other properties in the town of 1,300 residents "in an effort to revive the town's 19th-century aesthetic."
In the 21st Century, Pinchot has appeared in various films or has lent his voice to animated characters. He has also narrated a number of audio books. In 2010 Audible.com chose Pinchot as their narrator of the year. He has also won various awards for his efforts as a narrator.
Pinchot is a member of Harford Lodge No. 445 in Harford, Pennsylvania.
