William Shaffer Key an American General and Entrepreneur from Oklahoma was raised on August 15th, 1913 in Seminole Lodge No. 147 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Key was also a member of Indian Chapter No. 1, Royal Arch Masons in McAlester, Oklahoma, Circle Council No. 56 Royal and Select Masters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bethlehem Commandery No. 45, also in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Southern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of America. He was a member of Grotto, Shrine, Red Cross of Constantine, National Sojourners, Royal Order of Jesters and Royal Order of Scotland.

Key was a former director and president of Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma.
